Maintain the safety of drivers and pedestrians while using Stratham’s roads

The Parliament of Stratham enacts:

Section 1. Short Title

(1) This Act is the Vehicular Protections Act.

Section 2. Commencement

(1) All provisions will come into effect upon signage.

Section 3. Reasoning

(1) The current, vehicle-related criminal offenses do not provide sufficient protection to pedestrians and drivers.

(2) Vehicle-related criminal offenses involving pedestrians should be able to be prosecuted in a court of law.


Section 4. General Traffic & Vehicular Handling Laws

(1) Players must drive their vehicles on the right side of all official roads.

(2) Vehicles must remain on official roads and parking spots when inside a city or town’s limits.

(3) Traffic will proceed counterclockwise in all roundabout intersections.

(4) Traffic on all clearly marked one-way roads shall proceed only in the direction indicated.

(5) Only cars and bikes may be driven on official roads - helicopters, planes drills, tractors, submarines, and any other non-standard vehicles must be driven only on private property or with specific government authorization.

(6) Players may park in public parking places indefinitely.

(7) Players may only park in private parking places with the consent of the owner.

(a) Private parking places shall be defined as “any piece of private property intended to contain motor vehicles.”

(b) Parking lots intended for commercial use automatically consent to the usage of their parking spaces by consumers unless explicitly outlined in clear signage in a reasonably visible location.

(c) Cars parked in private parking places without permission will be considered abandoned and may incur punishments in addition to legal action by the owner of the private property.

(8) Players may not drive under the influence of drugs.

(a)Officers who believe a player is driving under the influence may pull them over to administer a straight line test.
(b) Players who fail the straight line test (I.E. are unable to walk in a straight line for 15 consecutive blocks) will be chargeable with Driving while Under the Influence.

(9) Players may not use any vehicle (car, plane, tractor, drill, public bus or transportation, etc.) to evade arrest.

(a) Players who use any vehicle to evade arrest will be charged with evading arrest.
(b) Players who knowingly assist a criminal to evade arrest by allowing them to ride in their vehicles may be charged with evading arrest at the good judgment of the arresting officer.

(10) Players may not use their vehicles of any kind to excessively hinder another player’s movement or well-being by honking repetitively, driving into players repetitively, or otherwise intentionally and maliciously using their vehicles.

(a) Players who intentionally or maliciously use their vehicles may be convicted of reckless driving.

Section 4. Definitions & Punishments

(1) Reckless Driving Shall be defined as “driving in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property, or breaking any of the outlined laws of general traffic”

(a) 1st Offense, 25 kr fine.

(b) 2nd Offense, 50 kr fine and 1 driver’s infraction point.

(c) 3rd+ Offense, 50 kr fine, 1 driver’s infraction point, and impound of vehicle.


(2) Obstruction of roads by civilians shall be defined as “A vehicle or person standing in an official road or intersection for over 1 minute, or while a motor vehicle is driving across that section of road.”

(a) 1st Offense, 10 kr fine.

(b) 2nd Offense, 25 kr fine.

(c) 3rd+ Offense, 40 kr fine.


(3) Driving an Unauthorized Vehicle shall be defined as “The Usage of Planes, Helicopters, Drills, Tractors, or other non-standard vehicles to travel on official roads without government authorization.”

(a) 1st Offense, 75 kr fine.

(b) 2nd Offense, 150 kr fine, 1 driver’s infraction point.

(c) 3rd+ Offense, 500 kr fine, 1 driver’s infraction point, 5 mins jail time.

This bill has received Prime Ministerial assent and is hereby signed into law.


I hold some reservations on this bill to the restrictions of players and how this might make movement more difficult,​
