Department Auditing Protocol Constitutional Amendment Act

A
Bill
To

Provide transparency of the Government of Stratham’s departments

The Parliament of Stratham enacts: that the Department of State is tasked with a monthly audit of all Departments. In order to review the process made, upcoming projects and overall Departmental efficiency.

Section 1. Short Title

(1) This Act is the Department Auditing Protocol Constitutional Amendment Act.

Section 2. Commencement

(1) All Provisions shall come into effect upon passage.

Section 3. Reasoning

(1) Currently there is a massive lack of transparency within government, this bill will ensure transparency between departments by a largely apolitical Department auditing other departments. Ensuring the process remains apolitical will ensure that departments will be reviewed by an independent collective ensuring full transparency and keeping the public informed on decisions and progress made by their respective Government.

Section 4. Protocol

(1) The Department of State will conduct an audit of each department at the end of each month.
(2) The State Secretaries will contact the Ministers and their respective employees.
(a) The State Secretaries will ask questions concerning progress made, upcoming projects, possible interdepartmental conflicts, overall efficiency, and other matters the DoS Secretary may find relevant.
(3) A transparency report will be drafted by the Department of State employees, based upon their findings and published by the Minister of State in order to inform the public of their findings.
