The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This bill is the Campaign Financing Bill.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All Provisions shall come into effect upon passage.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1) Currently during elections and through the term there isn’t much campaigning besides some posters or a few messages in game. Also private or public parties (parties include individuals and multiple people) aren’t allowed to support their favorite choice for parliament or government. This bill will allow them to finance the candidate or government official. It will also help boost productivity of campaigning of bills, public officials, or candidates.
Section 4. Changes
(1) People will be able to donate to candidates, government officials, or bills they approve of so they can get financing to campaign.
(A) The extra money from the campaigning may be returned to the original donator.
(B) If it is a company, they must be completely registered to donate.
(C) If it is a person or company they can request something from them that is reasonable.
(I) An idea for a bill(as long as it isn’t corruption or something idiotic as the official or candidate will be allowed to deny it), advertisement, or a picture. Here’s the list:
1.suggesting a bill or amendment
2. Advertising
3. Just a picture
(II) they will not be allowed to suggest to sway a vote on a bill.
(2) After the payment the official must mark it down with the DoE so that they can make sure nothing weird is going on.
(A) If something is happening with weird activity within the account and with voting then the DoE and parliament will get involved and do some digging. If something is found the candidate or official will be put up to VONC.
