Prime Ministerial Election, June 2022

This is the official election post for the 4th Prime Ministerial election.​

If you want to run for the position of Prime Minister, you will need to meet these prerequisites:

• a) Section 1 | The Prime Minister & The Deputy Prime Minister
  (V) The requirements for the Prime Minister are as follows:
  (A) Having a playtime of at least 2 days in the 30 days prior to the beginning of the election cycle and a total playtime greater than 10 days.
  (B) Having 4 months passed between their join date and their official appointment,
  (C) Have served capacity in any of the senior government positions within the past 90 days (eg. MP, Minister, Judge) prior to becoming PM.
  (VI) The requirements for the Deputy Prime Minister are as follows:
  (A) Having a playtime of at least 1 day in the 30 days prior to the beginning of the election cycle.
  (B) Having 4 months passed between their join date and their official appointment,
  (C) Have served capacity in any of the senior government positions (eg. MP, Minister, Judge) prior to becoming DPM.

Process for the Prime Minister Election

• (X) The Prime Minister is to be directly elected by the people, in a fair and democratic
  election which;
• (A) is to be held every 3 months,
• (B) is to last 7 days, beginning on the first Thursday and finishing on the second
  Thursday of every election month.
• (C) is where citizens are to have 4 days from the start of the election period to
  declare their candidacy to run for Office on the forums and after the
  declaration period has concluded, no more candidates may run,
• (D)is where once the declaration period has concluded, all citizens will then have
  3 days to vote for the candidate of their choosing.
• (E) is where after the polls have been open for 3 days, they will close and the
  candidate with the most votes will be sworn in as newly elected Prime
  Minister.

How to run for Prime Minister
As opposed to Parliamentary elections, creating a campaign thread is mandatory due to the nature of this position. It is necessary as it gives the voters an idea of who you are and what you want to do while in office. You need to reply to this post with “I, (username), am seeking the position of Prime Minister and here is my campaign thread: (link to thread)." You should also specify who your running mate is, should you have one.
It is also essential that you provide the following information in the same reply: playtime, join date, and criminal/punishments record.


Election Schedule:
June 2nd: Candidate declaration opens 15:00 GMT
June 6th: Anyone who meets the requirements to run for Prime Minister will be added to the ballot and candidate declarations will close 15:00 GMT
June 6th: Ballot opens with candidates at 17:00 GMT
June 9th: Ballot will close at 17:00 GMT
June 9th: Ballots will be counted and Prime Minister Designate will be announced
June 13th: Inauguration of the Prime Minister Designate and Deputy Prime Minister Designate along with the MPs being sworn in
