- Title: Parliament/Cabinet Secretary Vote
- Type of motion (Edit/Removal/Creation): Creation/edit
- Elaboration & Reasoning: Currently, there isn’t exactly a set Parliament or Cabinet Secretary. I motion that when the President of the Parliamentary Assembly is being elected, the Parliament Secretary is also elected in the same manner. However, although the elections are done at the same time and in the same way, they are separate elections. The same candidate can win both, but does not have to. I also motion that the Cabinet Secretary shall be a Cabinet Member appointed by the Prime Minister with their nomination accepted by the candidate themself. Cabinet will then vote, and if the candidate receives a majority of votes, they will be responsible for making monthly notes and notes at every Cabinet meeting they are able to attend and passing them on to the DoPA. In the case that no nominee of the Prime Minister accepts the nomination and there are no available Cabinet Members left, the Prime Minister may nominate a willing candidate outside of Cabinet. If the Cabinet Secretary is unable to attend a meeting, the Prime Minister will nominate a Cabinet Member, and a Cabinet Member (can include the person who is nominated, but doesn’t have to be, cannot be the Prime Minister) will second the nomination. Then, the rest of Cabinet will vote on it. If the candidate receives a majority of votes, that person will be Cabinet Secretary for that meeting.
