New VoNC Act

Revise the vote of no confidence procedures.
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the New Vonc Act.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All Provisions shall come into effect upon passage.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1) Currently, the VONC process is messy and has unnecessary limitations. This bill will allow parliament to extend/shorten the VONC with majority aye motions at any time.
Section 4. VONC PROCESS
(1) Rescind VoNC refusal/reformed act.
(2) The process begins with Parliament’s joint decision to initiate a vote of no confidence (VONC) against an accused government official being presented by the Speaker. Then a channel specific to the government official’s VONC may be created. Parliament may also motion to extend/shorten the hearing at any time with a simple majority aye. This channel shall be viewable to the public but discussion with remain exclusive to parliament members and the accused government official. Once parliament proceeds with the hearing, the accused officer will receive and may answer questions presented by the current parliament members. Once the allotted time period is finished or a motion to end the trial early requiring a simple majority (50% rounded up) is passed, this channel will then be locked and the speaker will move to the next phase in the process.
(a) After the public trial the current speaker will create a thread with only two options, as removal is a binary process aye (in favor of removal) and nay (against the removal).
(3) You may only VONC a civil officer from their Office for, Treason, Bribery, Abuse of Power, Failure to inspire confidence, Failure to fulfill duties, or other high crimes.
