New Stratham bar Association Act

Create the Governing Body for the legal profession
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the New Stratham bar Association Act.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All Provision(s) shall come into effect upon passage.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1) With the repeal of the SBA Act, there is no set governing body for the Legal Field, although not as active as it can be, it is my hope that this bill will add structure and spark interest for the field.
Section 4. Establishment and Leadership
1.) The Stratham Bar Association (SBA) is hereby established and shall be an Independent entity overseen by the Chairman of the Board of Directors
2.) The SBA will be Led by a Chairman and a Board of Directors
3.) The SBA Chairman shall be Elected separately from the Board of Directors
4.) The Board shall consist of 3 people holding the lawyer Qualification
5.) The Board shall be elected by the Members of the Association, they shall serve 2 month terms.
6.) The Chairman shall be elected by the Members of the Association and serve a 4 month term
Section 5. Duties and Powers
1,) All players who hold the Lawyer Qualification is entitled to be admitted into the Association
2.) All members are entitled the right to stand for office within the association
3.) Bylaws can be Created. updated, amended and removed by the Board of Directors with a simple majority vote. By Laws must not contradict the bill
4.) The Chairman of the Board has Assent and Veto power over all the acts passed by the Board, any act that is vetoed by the chairman can be overridden with a unanimous vote by the board
5.) the Chairman of the board is not allowed to vote, the Chairman of the Board it there to facilitate Elections, Discussions, Debates, Proposals and then Passing/Vetoing proposals
6.) The SBA is charged with the duty to regulate the legal profession
7.) The SBA is charged with Ethics Investigation Power, this pertains to Lawyers, AG’s and Judges
8.) The SBA has the right to Disbar lawyers for a period not exceeding 2 months for violations of ethics and bylaws
9.) The SBA may choose to reinstate lawyers qualification at any time with a majority vote of the board
10.) Membership to the Association is revoked upon losing the qualification or disbarment
11.) By Laws must be created and ratified by the Board of Directors within 3 Weeks seating of the First Board
12.) Elections will take place 1 week after the passing of this act
