I am delighted to introduce you to Grand Union Financial Services. We are a new business, aiming to provide excellent services in areas such as debt, insurance and business consulting. Our mission is to ultimately support the growth of Stratham and its economy, in a sound and equitable way.

We facilitate business loans through a bond market whereby a company can issue bonds in order to raise capital. In contrast to standard business loans, these bonds can then be bought up and later traded by various investors. This approach can offer greater flexibility and the potential for greater rewards for both creditors and debtors. Businesses and individuals alike can also make use of our excellent insurance offering. Through robust valuations and assessments in combination with an individual approach to each customer, we are confident our insurance products can give you peace of mind at a reasonable price. Grand Union are happy to look into insuring a variety of assets in the case of various different scenarios.
Those looking to lend money or engage in significant business activity with other business or individuals can take advantage of our credit reporting services. Grand Union will conduct excellent research to determine the credit worthiness represented by a standardised credit score, as well as arriving at an estimate for the sum a company or person can be trusted with.
GUFS further offers broad advisory and consulting services to businesses and high net worth individuals. Combining outstanding research with broad experience, we can provide you with advice and look into a variety of matters impacting your income and wealth.

As a result, Grand Union Financial Services will not be offering its bonds and insurance services to begin with. We place great emphasis on financial security and responsibility, and as such strive to first build up a significant enough capital base before engaging in explicitly financial activities.
Investing in Grand Union
We would be delighted for anyone with an interest in Grand Union to invest in the company. As with all our other services, our approach is individual and are happy to discuss any form of cooperation you would be interested in! We suggest one of two solutions:
Stock purchase and deferred interest – you can invest now and while your investment helps us raise capital and grow the company, accrue interest at an agreed rate for an agreed length of time. To compensate the deferral of the interest (i.e. it being paid after a longer period of time), you can become an owner of shares in Grand Union. This way, you will also reap the benefits of profits and growth generated by the company further down the line.
Short-term savings account – if you prefer to be more cautious, we can also offer a simple savings account, where you invest and regularly receive interest as well as the entire investment back in full after an agreed time. This minimises your risk and commitment, while still offering Grand Union access to capital, albeit in a shorter term.

Dedicated, well compensated and bright people are the key to the success of any business. We recognise this at Grand Union and are looking to recruit in a variety of roles:
Financial Analysts are responsible for research, investigation and reporting across the branches of the business. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and requesting data, updating internal spreadsheets and regular reporting. More experienced analysts have greater operational independence, also directly contributing to advice offered to clients, as well as business decisions taken by Grand Union itself. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail and a familiarity with office protocol and software.
Marketing Assistants are tasked with conducting market research, preparing and executing advertising campaigns and offering outstanding customer service to prospective clients. The role is of great importance as Grand Union builds its reputation and recognition in the community. A person with brilliant communication skills, creative ways of working and experience in advertising would be a good fit for the role.
Customer Service Assistants work on the frontline, dealing with queries from customers, conducting various administrative tasks and introducing new clients to Grand Union. We value customers’ experiences tremendously and are therefore looking for someone with a friendly manner, who can also respond to questions or efficiently delegate issues.
We offer competitive compensation, with a comfortable base salary on top of commission dependant on sales and Grand Union’s financial performance. Comprehensive training is provided for each role and Grand Union will also provide you with free food, cover your medical expenses and subsidise your other living expenses. Bond Market Explained
Take a scenario where company X would like to borrow 10,000kr to raise funding for a crucial investment. The standard approach would be to find a bank, individual or another company willing to lend the money.
Our offering allows company X to issue bonds worth 10,000kr, which are publicly available on the bond market, and can then be purchased by investors. Take an individual Y looking to invest 1,000kr – in order to earn interest on their cash, they can decide to buy 1,000kr worth of company X’s bonds. These bonds will then pay individual Y regular interest. Furthermore, individual Y can decide to sell their bonds to other investors on the bond market if they so choose.
Grand Union’s role in the process is to facilitate the transactions and maintain clear and updated records of all bonds, debtors and creditors. This means the complexity of the process is something lenders and borrowers alike need not worry about. Moreover, when someone decides to issue bonds, Grand Union will guarantee the sale of a minimum number of these bonds, in effect ensuring the debtor’s needs are satisfied even when demand from creditors is insufficient.
There are several benefits of this approach. Firstly, it provides a much greater flexibility and transparency than standard business loans. Perhaps most importantly, it can also be of mutual benefit to borrowers and lenders, with borrowers benefitting from potentially lower interest on the debt as opposed to standard loans, while lenders can look forward to greater rewards compared to the interest paid on standard savings accounts. The bond market also precipitates a democratisation of historically opaque financial activities, giving everybody, regardless of wealth and social standing, a chance to participate in financing Stratham’s businesses and economy.
