The Parliament of Stratham enacts:

Establish protections for all of Strathams workforce


Section 1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the ”Employee Protection Service [EPS]”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

Section 2 - Purpose
The EPS will serve as a new Division in the DoS, it is for employees to report any misconduct or unfair treatment within a government department. It will allow for an employee to contact a DoS EPS Officer and review the situation and see if they have been treated unfairly.

Section 3 - Responsibilities
(1) Creation of new DoS job titled, EPS Officer
(a) Duties of this job shall be as follows;
(a.1) Reviewing EPS claims filed,
(a.2) Interviewing the member the claims about their side of the situation,
(a.3) Crafting a report to submit to the Minister.
(2) Creation of new division in DoS titled, Employee Protection Service
(a) This DoS division shall commonly be abbreviated “EPS”
(b) Duties of this division shall be as follows;
(b.1) Examining Employee law
(b.2) Implement protections for employees in unfair, unsafe or hostile work environments
(b.3) Make a report and conduct an Inspection within the department, assisting in department Audits.
(b.4) The Minister will file this and report to the Prime Minister and discuss a course of action via mediation or correct action.


Section 4 - Process
(1) Employee report to the EPS
(2) EPS Officer investigates the claim made and will conduct interviews and examine evidence relevant to the situation.
(3) A report will then be filed to the Minister of State
(4) Minister of State shall confer with the Prime Minister about the EPS report. They then decide to proceed with the information discovered through the EPS report and subsequent investigations.
(5) Action taken against the person found to have caused the breach and have harmed the employee.
(5) DoS Minister will then execute the agreed upon action with the Prime Minister onto the parties agreed upon by the Prime Minister.

Section 5 - Potential grounds for EPS report
(1) Misconduct in relations to the employee training or duty in service
(2) Unfair treatment within the department
(3) Harassment
(4) Humiliation, degradation, discrimiantion or any form of attack on a employee out of content viewed as an attack on that person.
(5) A judicious person would find the work environment hostile or abusive
(6)The victim’s desire or ability to work has been affected
(7)The employer knew about the hostile behaviour but did not adequately intervene
