With /health, you can track your temperature. So when you get in the 90's to 100. You will get nausea and slowness. Which makes perfect sense and adds a role-play / realistic feeling to the game to make sure you keep your health stable.
What im proposing, Fire resistance should make you immune to the effects of having a high temperature. I am currently working on a project and im running into lava pools, i used fire resist to clear them up but my temperature is 100! It makes it impossible to clear lava when im miss placing blocks and water buckets with nausea. Been stuck working in the same area for 30+ minutes due to this.
