The Unnecessary or Frivolous Lawsuit Act
A
Bill
To
Stop lawyers or citizens from wasting the courts time.
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the UFL Act.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All provisions shall come into effect upon passage of the bill.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1)Currently lawyers can make lawsuits against anything and just waste the court’s time with absolutely no repercussions.
Section 4. Changes
(1) If a case is deemed frivolous by a judge, the lawyer who’s created the case will be punished accordingly with section 5
Section 5.Repercussions
(1)Repercussions for frivolous or unnecessary lawsuits are:
1st offense-1 warning and a 1,000 kr fine
2nd offense-loss of lawyer with chance to appeal via courts and a 2,500 kr fine
3rd offense-loss of lawyer without chance to appeal and a 4,000 kr fine
Section 6. Appeals
(1) Appeals will be done via court system.
(A) The lawyer will need a supermajority from the judge and parliament
