I will eventually hire players to shear my sheep when I am offline. Is it possible to not give them place/break block permissions or permission to kill animals but still have permission to shear the sheep.
No, /as addfriend gives them permission to both kill animals and to build. But if you make an agreement that they aren't allowed to break anything and they do, you can fire and sue them.
