Please note: Parts of the information presented in this publication may not actually occur. Some are just discussions the Parliament had instead of definite plans for the future.
Notes taken by Taelor and edited by Taelor.

    Meeting Date: 10/26/2019; 9pm EST

    Attendance:
Present: CatchEmAll, SeanPotatoKing, DoctorThunder7, Ianhead1, ElementalPenguin (Late)

    Absent: Stinkycow

    Topics Discussed

    Next PMQs
    • Those present decided Saturday mornings would work best for them and thought 12pm EST/9am PST would work well for all. Next PMQ's are aiming for Saturday, November 2, 2019.
    Nayed bills
    • Discussed the Electoral Minimum Act that got denied. See that bill here. DoctorThunder7 has rewritten the bill which has been posted in #Bill-Creation but cannot be processed for 2 weeks under the Parliamentary Process Amendment seen here. The majority of parent parliamentarians at the meeting agreed that 20% of votes was fair.
    Bill vs. Motion
    • Changing it back to what it was
    • Motion -> Bill -> Law
    • CatchEmAll1 will write the repeal
    • Parliament felt the change from last parliament's session was confusing and unnecessary. You can see the current bill here. It's been proposed that we change it back to Motion (discussing it on discord) --> Bill (posted on forum and getting voted on) --> Law (official). CatchEmAll1 will be writing the appeal.
    Frivolous Murder Cases
    • Kbooth suggested that murder trials be classified under the frivolous court cases. Parliament agreed that it's to do a lawsuit just to get someone arrested. They should just report it to police under #Government-Support. It is a waste of the judge’s time otherwise. SeanPotatoKing will write the bill to turn murder cases into frivolous cases.
    Increasing Suburban Plot Limitations
    • iRealistic mentioned to a parliament member that he would like suburban plot limitations to be increased from 1 to 2 for real estate purposes. All present disagree with this idea. They feel that there is limited space in the suburbs, and people don't normally want pre-built houses which would eliminate the real estate business.
Opinions on Anti-Competitive Laws for Corps

      • DoctorThunder7 brought up that any company that intentionally does things to take out its competition will not be allowed. This includes things such as severely undercutting the competition or buying out your competition until you're the only one left in the market. This would be enforced by the DoBD and DoJ.

    Motions Discussed

    Electoral Minimum Act

      • A parliamentary candidate is required to have at least 20% of voter support in order to be eligible for a seat in parliament. A player should not obtain a seat in parliament with such few votes that they aren't representing the people.
      • Doc posted it in bill creation but it can’t be put into motion for another 2 weeks.

The new system is correct and how it should be.
A motion is a question put to parliament that you are seeking a response from. e.g.
    • A motion of no confidence.
    • A motion to decide on a nomination.
    • A motion to confirm or reject a warning point.
A bill is a proposed law.

Calling proposed laws a motion is more confusing than anything.

The new system is also far simpler in terms of work flow. People have adjusted well to the change and this is an unnecessary repeal.

Regarding this subject, I would hope that the DoBD has a better way of categorizing and ensuring they're aware of ALL the official companies on the server before one is *mistakenling* accused of buying "all" the companies in their niche market. Cross your tees and dot your eyes. :p

As it's your username, which is a proper noun, it is capital.
