- Title: Judicial Review

- Type: Creation

- Reasoning: In most democratic countries, the judiciary has a power called judicial review. Essentially, if a citizen feels that any act of legislation is unconstitutional, they can sue the government. If the case reaches the supreme court, the court can rule against the government, and essentially overturn the decision.

This is a much needed feature on BC, as there are a lot of grey areas with our government system. We could make the longest most detailed government clarification bill imaginable and people would still argue over things like jurisdiction. When there are complex issues like which branch has power over a policy, or if a policy contradicts a previous policy, a citizen can step in and sue the government. The court can then decide how to rule, based on a 2/3 minimum majority.

- Bill: A citizen can sue the government for any government decision (bills, executive orders, vetos, dismissals, etc.). The case can then be accepted or dismissed by the court. If the court chooses to accept, all members of the court must rule for or against the plaintiff. The court can rule only on the basis of existing laws and government changes. The majority opinion will be seen as the opinion of the entire court.
