Government Transparency Acts

To
Provide the Citizens of Stratham with the means for a transparent government.
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is the Government Transparency Acts.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) All Provisions shall come into effect upon passage.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1) The government needs an official process in place to ensure they maintain transparency on their doings to the public.
Section 4. Transparency Acts
(1) Parliament may request a Question Time hearing on any member of the executive branch.
(a) If the person being questioned can agree on a time with the SoP, there will be an in-game hearing.
(b) The SoP will open a channel in the BC discord server for MPs to ask questions for a period of 5 days. This channel will be available for the public to view.
(2) Parliament shall have a question time meeting once a month
(a) The SoP shall be in charge of the scheduling of this meeting
(b) This meeting shall be held in-game
(c) The SoP shall give the public an opportunity to ask MPs questions and voice their concerns
(d) MPs may voice their concerns and question other MPs
(e) The SoP shall extend an official invitation to all approved media companies
(f) The SoP shall give the media the opportunity to ask questions to MPs
(g) The SoP shall be in charge of finding a stenographer for this meeting
(h) The transcript of this meeting shall be released to the public in government announcements by the SoP
