- Raise interest rates on loans to banks to "above market” rates
- Reduce the production of currency (coins and printed bills)/ stop money from being made a lot
- Institute government controls on wages and prices
- Sell assets
- Increase the production of goods and services
- Institute a tax on commodities
- Threaten to jail or jail speculators/people who are playing the economy and confiscate hoarded goods
- Abandon the old currency and switch to a barter economy
