Event Covington City Grand Opening

Name: Covington City Grand Opening
Time: 2pm EST on January 6th, 2018
Location: Covington city (accessible through the highway, if you are having issues, ask a staff)
Plan:
  • Attendees will meet outside Covington’s town hall prior to the opening so they can be there on time. This is by no means required, but highly suggested.
  • Starting at 2pm EST, jmarti07, Covington’s mayor, will make an short introduction in front of the town hall for the ribbon cutting ceremony, so everyone is aware of what is happening.
  • Once the introduction is complete, jmarti07 will ceremoniously cut the ribbon around the town hall, symbolizing the opening of the city.
  • Then, jmarti07 will make a speech about the city. Please do not interrupt the speech, which will be in local chat. If you need to speak to someone, /msg exists for that purpose. Interrupting someone is disrespectful.
  • After the speech, there will be a dance from Unity Dance Academy! THIS PART OF THE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
  • Following the dance, there will be a drop party, including exclusive Covington plot coupons, the best at half off any plot! Other, more basic, but still cool items such as diamonds, will be dropped.
  • After the DP, attendees will gather at the party building in Covington. If you don’t know how to get there, it’s in Covington, and a bunch of other people are going there. You’ll find it, ask around.
  • The party will include a dance floor with a playlist of Minecraft music through jukeboxes. Requests for certain discs are allowed, just be nice about it. You may play music in the music channel, as long as it follows the rules of the music channel.
  • The party will also include a variety of different games, such as slots (iSharkk’s casino), flower power (iSharkk’s casino), roulette (designed by me, created by ChrisClassics) darts (jmarti07). Games may involve betting, and you will need to use your own money to bet. If you lose money, that’s your own fault.
  • There will also be a bar with drinks and food. Both cost money, which goes to the DoPA, and there is a 1 alcoholic drink per person limit. Drink responsibly.
  • During the party, there will be games of hide and seek going on. There will be a 10 Kruna entrance fee, and the winner (person found last) will get 90% of the total money paid from entrance fees. The seeker can’t win, but doesn’t need to pay an entrance fee. The seeker is whoever volunteers, or the earliest person to be found that continued to play the next round.
  • Also, there will be fireworks after the party. They will be above Covington, hope you enjoy!
Information: There will be multiple broadcasts prior to the event, and people will be there to direct everyone on where the next part is, if messages aren’t broadcasted directing people towards the following location. NOTE: THE DANCE FROM UNITY DANCE ACADEMY HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Is there a way we can reschedule this event for 5:30 EST or sometime after 5 because work/school might interfere with a lot of people and then the event wouldn't be as big and everyone would get less money than they would if it rescheduled.
