The Parliament of Stratham Enacts;

Section I, Short Name​


  1. This act is the Business Advertisement Act.

Section II, Commencement​


  1. All provisions of this act are to be effective immediately after passage by the Parliament of Stratham.
  2. In cases of conflicts with previous legislation regarding the topics covered by this Act, this Act is to take precedence.
  3. In cases of a breach of this act in an action that has begun prior to the passing of the act, if the action has been already outlawed by previous acts regarding the issue of corporate advertisement, the perpetrator may be tried to the standards of this act, however, if the action has been newly outlawed by this act, the perpetrator may have up to 3 days to cease their action. This action may be passive and/or active.
  4. Upon the passing of the act, the following acts are to be rescinded except the provisions provided in the given acts that rescind other acts.

Section III, Definitions​

  1. Unless context requires otherwise, ‘corporation’ refers to any person or persons providing a service or product in exchange for monetary gain. The term ‘corporation’ is not limited to groups with a business registration.
  2. Unless context requires otherwise, ‘material’ is any medium of information transportation, including but not limited to text, videos, images, slogans etc…
  3. Unless context requires otherwise, ‘intended for public consumption’ means that the material is to be used in contexts where the owner or spreader (advertiser) of the material is willingly putting the said material in the attention of other(s), usually a large audience.

Section IV, Corporate Advertisement​

  1. Corporate Advertisement is the promotion of information regarding the services or products being sold by a corporation, and the qualities of such services and products, through materials which are intended for public consumption.
    1. Any material designed to inform a buyer of the qualities and specifications of a product or service, that can only be viewed at the consent of an interested client is not considered Corporate Advertisement.

Section V, False Advertising​

  1. False Advertising is any act of Corporate Advertisement that includes information that is misleading, untrue or a misuse of facts.
  2. All parties affected by False Advertising are entitled to, from the corporation, all of the losses which they have had in a monetary form. Additionally, the parties affected may seek up to 500kr of punitive damages.

Section VI, Limitations of Channels of Corporate Advertisement​

  1. Any private citizen or organisation - public or private - retains the right to limit their properties and channels to advertisement up to the total prohibition.
  2. No corporation may directly share material that would be otherwise classified as corporate advertisement to a private citizen alone.
  3. In cases of infringement on the limitations brought forward by the owner of a channel or the direct sharing to a private citizen, the infringed party may seek up to 500kr of punitive damages, on top of any monetary loss and therefore compensation that may occur.

Section VII, Usage of Government-Provided Advertisement Channels​

  1. The “Government-Provided Advertisement Channels” or GPAC, refers to a group of channels that are categorised into two;
    1. The channel or channels provided by the government on the discord server for corporate advertisement to take place, also known as Discord GPAC.
    2. The channel or channels provided by the government in-game for corporate advertisement to take place, also known as Minecraft GPAC.
  2. All corporations with a business registration may use both types of GPAC, given that they adhere to the rules as provided by this article. General limitations are as follows;
    1. The advertisements may not include profanity or slurs.
    2. The advertisement must be constructive; while the comparison of a product or a service to one of a rival/competition is allowed, the advertisement may not be made with the sole purpose of a negative light for another corporation.
  3. Discord GPAC limitations are as follows;
    1. [There must be at least 3 advertisements from other corporations between advertisements made by the same corporation] OR [There must be at least a 48 hour difference between advertisements made by the same corporation], whichever is sooner.
  4. Minecraft GPAC limitations are as follows;
    1. There must be at least a 15 minute difference between advertisements made by the same corporation.
  5. The violation of the above articles stating the limitations & rules of GPAC shall be deemed ‘Improper Use of GPAC’ and shall be subject to the punishments of;
    1. First Time Offence: Verbal Warning
    2. Second Time Offence: 100kr Fine and Suspension of the ability to use GPAC for 1 day.
    3. Third Time Offence: 250kr Fine and Suspension of the ability to use GPAC for 5 days.
    4. Any offence after the third will be; 500kr Fine and the Suspension of the ability to use GPAC for 10 days.
