Company Registration Modernization Act
The Parliament of Stratham enacts:
Section 1. Short Title
(1) This Act is known as the CRM Act.
Section 2. Commencement
(1) Provisions 1, 2, and 3 shall take effect immediately upon becoming law. Provision 4 and 5 shall take effect 21 days after the passing of this law.
(2) Upon becoming law, the Company Registration Act (Title XV, Chapter 11, Section 1) shall immediately become void. This law shall supersede it and become Title XV, Chapter 11, Section 2 in the BusinessCraft Federal Code.
Section 3. Reasoning
(1) As of January 2022, the DoE plans on making major changes to business registration as a part of its efforts to overhaul the economy. In order to avoid conflict issues between law and constitutional policy, the DoE is requesting that this law be changed to meet the criteria of upcoming policy.
Section 4. Provisions
(1) In order to become a legally recognized business, a business owner must register their business on the forums. The DoE is given full control over the creation and editing of this process.
(a) The DoE must give a two week warning on any changes to the Business Registration process that might affect already registered businesses.
(2) A new job title called Business Owner, with all the current powers of the Entrepreneur, shall be created. This job shall be a qualification the same as the Entrepreneur was. This rank shall be linked to granted business applications.
(3) Unrecognized businesses are not allowed to open business accounts with CIA-verified banks, not allowed to be accepted for grants, would not be able to utilize government services, and are not allowed to be contracted for government events.
(4) In order for businesses to be able to open a chest shop within Stratham protected lands, they must become a legally recognized business. Only Business Owners are granted the privilege of opening chest shops within the Nation of Stratham.
(5) The current Entrepreneur qualification is to be removed.
