Dept. of Economy: Minister Ancastal
Department Progress
In our first month, the Department of Economy has worked on finding new and fair ways to increase government's revenue as the government's balance keeps falling, reaching an all-time low of 5.3 millions by the end of last month. In collaboration with the cabinet and with the Prime Minister, we have suggested different efficient ways to solve this issue. On top of this, we have worked on checking our employee's activity and together we have brainstormed new ways to regulate the financial sector.
Upcoming Projects
In the upcoming month, completing April's project, I plan on releasing the novel taxation system, agreed with the Parliament and with the Prime Minister. New guidelines related to the registration of private banks and, in general, business registrations will be published.

Department Progress
The department hired Trainee Officer SignalHarbor054 as of April 15th, 2024. In addition to promoting Josh546 from a police officer to sergeant.
Significant quality of life update regarding police formats and officer guides, where, the police formats received an overhaul improvement compared to previous outdated reports. The new formats are inclusive of the demands of today's laws. Moreover, the guides were also updated with new easy access under one roof, officers can now view the guides under the department section on the forums.
Anti-corruption trainee officers, officers, sergeants, and captains were disbanded as a job offered by the Justice Department due to the lack of internal affairs matters. Instead, the minister is to deal with any concerns regarding reports against officers.
'Pending Fines' and 'Bounty List' received a dedicated discord bot, thanks to Netpex for coding it, that relies on officers filling in a form to auto-create threads for easy management and archive systems. 'Wanted List' was renamed to 'Bounty List' for an upcoming roleplay feature.
Upcoming Projects
New guides will be written to further assist officers when they require assistance. These guides will include practical scenarios for officers to learn from.
A new qualification 'Bounty Hunter' will be added, the duties include assisting officers with an arrest by detaining wanted players and handing them to an available officer for a sum of cash no more than 1000 Krunas. However, only the justice minister will create the bounties and hand out the payment to ensure no exploitation of the system occurs.
Alongside bounty hunters, a new role-play feature is on its way to Stratham, which is the ability to rob gas stations, banks, and museums for unlaundered cash or an artifact that can be sold or used in hidden engineer and fashion designer recipes.
Departmental-issued firearms will be in circulation soon. It will be in the form of a sell shop inside the tender shop where players can sell the necessary materials to manufacture the firearms. The Justice minister will handle the distribution and collection of firearms from current and former officers to prevent weapons from reaching inappropriate parties for the safety of the general public since the weapons are stronger than the publicly available ones.
Additional Notes
The Department of Justice is always recruiting new officers! However, applicants are to use the appropriate application format as well as join the Department's discord server.

Besides the Trivia Quiz, we haven't had many events this past month. Hosted by spyrolix and 9402, the Trivia Quiz event saw 11 participants that worked in 3 teams of 3-4 players to compete in completing the most challenges. We also had some Easter events hosted by Mickichu. These ran over for 1 week which players really enjoyed as all players from different timezones could partake. The DoPA park was also set up where we sold new custom "Bunny Boots" and custom Easter foods.
Upcoming Projects
Since both Pride Month and Summer are around the corner, our Community Coordinators have been working hard on some exciting events for the upcoming months!
A big focus for DoPA is how we can improve the new-player experience, paramount of which is the tour. We've noticed that tours can take much longer than we'd like them to, which can hurt our CCs' capacity to do tours and new players' retention during them. Thus, we will be diligently scrutinizing the tour script to make improvements towards shortening it, as well as looking into bringing back a revamped Tony the Tour Guide to streamline tours.
Additionally, thanks to Mickichu and Windows_Dog, we will continue to add more collectable items to upcoming DoPA parks! We hope that these rare collectables will add interesting and fun items for players to work towards spending their hard-earned money on, as well as help to recycle some player money back to the government balance.
There's been some inactivity in the department, so we also plan on cracking down on those and encouraging our CCs to do more events and tours.
Additional Notes
Apply for Community Coordinator to host fun events for the community and help new players learn to love BC!

Set up a subforum for constructors to log their work/projects so that we can keep better track on Construction pay. The log channel will allow the senior team to monitor ETA on build projects to ensure none are being left too late. We have also worked on a better pay for constructors, taking into account interior work, as well as builds in the suburbs and city plots/regions - with height and plot size taking into account.
The Capital Building was finally completed. This project started just over 1 year ago. With the change in Government / removal of Government, change in map, etc. The build went through many changes, but now we can all enjoy the one big structure which stands tall representing the Nation.
Adding onto my previous paragraph, we have designed a nice new inauguration set up. We have a separate seating area for foreign dignitaries, as well as better protection and area for the Justice department to carry out their checks.
We introduced a property inspector mail command: /pi mail. This opens a GUI menu for pi's to select the appropriate option for the report they are carrying out. The player will receive mail specifying their plot and reason for report, as well as how long they have to make amendments.
I set up a subforum where Rangers can make Admin requests for their wild clean ups. In the past, Rangers would create a ticket for an Admin to help with their wild clean up. This has been set up and before it will be in proper use, we will need to finalise a few things.
We updated the ticket tool in the DoID discord; There are now more ticket type options players can select from to have the correct senior team added to the ticket and give a clearer understanding on the ticket prior to the player needing to explain it. Tickets for: shelter ban / animal abuse appeals | public reports - players can receive 50kr for each valid report - reports for eyesores, lack of progress, inactivity (city, suburbs, wild), animal abuse | city plot appeal - appeals for any reports made by pi's - advice on eyesore reports - extension for evictions.
The new City Land Law has been passed which has allowed for pi work to be more clear and precise. This helps players in understanding the laws of Government land and prevents any incorrect pi reports being made.
Upcoming Projects
A new property inspector guide, now that the City Land law has passed.
Finalising Admin requests.
Animal shelters in the wild, as pets cannot teleport to and from the city and wild.
Builds. More builds... More builds. I've been working on better training on Interns and players looking into joining the department but would like to improve their skills to produce a wider ranged portfolio when/if they decide to apply.
Additional Notes
Apply for Construction Intern if you have always wanted to grow and improve your construction skills. If you enjoy the wild/nature side of the server, apply for Ranger and help maintain our Nations natural beauty!! Or, if you're not wanting too much responsibilities, take the Landscaper exam at the university -> be sure to join the DoID discord if you do. Oh, and don't forget Property Inspector - help clear inactive players from plots to make room for active players to have the chance of growing!
